Stitch Sunflower, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — golden sunflowers and soft sage-green leaves fill a circle, with a bumblebee visiting the blooms. The design fits the round hoop included in the kit, so it's ready to hang as soon as it's finished.

A little stitcher's folklore: sunflowers follow the sun across the sky, and a sunflower picture in the kitchen was said to keep the house bright even on grey days.

Why this kit: a warm, elegant floral that comes with its own hoop — no framing needed, and perfect as a gift.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 42 colours, a needle, a white round embroidery hoop (20.5 cm), a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. The hoop doubles as a ready-made frame.

Start with the sunflower centres, then the golden petals, and finish with the leaves and bee using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 17×17 cm (6.7×6.7 in). A sunny hoop art piece ready to hang and a lovely gift.
