Stitch Welsh Corgi, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a russet and white Corgi with tall pointed ears and a bright, alert face sits among icy blue watercolour splashes. The design fits the woodgrain round hoop included in the kit, ready to hang when you finish.

A little stitcher's folklore: Welsh legend says Corgis were the steeds of fairies, and the saddle-shaped marking on their backs is where the little riders sat.

Why this kit: a cheerful, characterful dog portrait that comes with its own woodgrain hoop — a perfect gift for Corgi fans.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 42 colours, a needle, a woodgrain round embroidery hoop (20.5 cm), a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. The hoop doubles as a ready-made frame.

Start with the eyes and nose, then the russet coat and white chest, and finish with the blue splashes using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 14×15 cm (5.5×5.9 in). A happy hoop art portrait ready to hang and a fun gift for dog lovers.
