Stitch The Summer, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a red-roofed cottage sits beside a blue pond in green meadows, surrounded by pink wildflowers, tall grasses and fluttering butterflies. The clear round hoop is included, ready to hang when you finish.

A little stitcher's folklore: a butterfly visiting the garden in midsummer was said to carry a wish straight to the fairies.

Why this kit: a bright summer scene from the four-seasons hoop series — lovely on its own or as part of the full set.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 34 colours, 2 needles, a clear round embroidery hoop (20.5 cm), a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. The hoop doubles as a ready-made frame.

Start with the cottage and pond, then the meadows, and finish with the flowers and butterflies using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 17×17 cm (6.7×6.7 in). A sunny hoop art piece ready to hang and a cheerful gift.
