Stitch The Yorkshire Terrier, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a smart little Yorkie with silky tan and steel-grey fur, alert pointed ears and a tan bow tie looks out with bright dark eyes. The woodgrain oval hoop is included, ready to hang when finished.

A little stitcher's folklore: Yorkies were first kept by Yorkshire mill workers to chase mice among the looms — the smallest guardians of the weaving trade.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 36 colours, 2 needles, a woodgrain oval embroidery hoop (22×27 cm), a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. The hoop doubles as a ready-made frame.

Start with the eyes and nose, then the silky fur and ears, and finish with the bow tie using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 12×17 cm (4.7×6.7 in). A dapper hoop art portrait ready to hang and a lovely gift for dog lovers.
