Stitch Rottweiler, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a happy black-and-tan Rottweiler with a big open-mouthed grin and a silver tag on his collar beams out from a clean white background. The woodgrain oval hoop is included, ready to hang.

A little stitcher's folklore: Rottweilers once guarded cattle and carried the butcher's money purse around their necks — and they're still the most loyal guardians of home.

Why this kit: a joyful, affectionate portrait of a gentle giant with its own woodgrain oval hoop — a great gift for Rottie owners.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 40 colours, 2 needles, a woodgrain oval embroidery hoop (22×27 cm), a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. The hoop doubles as a ready-made frame.

Start with the eyes and nose, then the glossy black coat and tan markings, and finish with the collar and tag using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 13×17 cm (5.1×6.7 in). A joyful hoop art portrait ready to hang and a lovely gift for dog lovers.
