Stitch Pug, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a fawn Pug with a velvety black face, big round eyes and a wrinkled brow wears a turquoise collar, with soft watercolour drips below. The woodgrain round hoop is included, ready to hang when finished.

A little stitcher's folklore: Pugs were the pampered companions of Chinese emperors, and the wrinkles on their brow were said to spell the character for 'prince'.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 32 colours, 2 needles, a woodgrain round embroidery hoop (20.5 cm), a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. The hoop doubles as a ready-made frame.

Start with the big eyes and black muzzle, then the fawn wrinkles and ears, and finish with the collar and drips using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 13×15 cm (5.1×5.9 in). A charming hoop art portrait ready to hang and a fun gift for dog lovers.
