Stitch Field Flower, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a bright red ladybird perches on the golden heart of a soft pink daisy, with green leaves below and tiny pink petals drifting on the breeze. The white round hoop is included, ready to hang.

A little stitcher's folklore: a ladybird landing on you is a sign of good luck, and the number of her spots was said to tell how many happy months lie ahead.

Why this kit: a sweet, quick hoop project — lovely for spring and a cheerful little gift.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 33 colours, a needle, a white round embroidery hoop (17 cm), a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. The hoop doubles as a ready-made frame.

Start with the ladybird, then the golden centre and pink petals, and finish with the leaves using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 11×13.5 cm (4.3×5.3 in). A lucky little hoop art piece ready to hang and a cheerful gift.
