Stitch Amanita Muscaria, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — two red fly agaric toadstools with white spots rise from green moss, clover and autumn leaves, framed in a woodgrain round hoop.

A little stitcher's folklore: in forest folklore the red-and-white toadstool is where fairies and gnomes live, and finding a ring of them brings good luck.

Why this kit: a cute woodland project with 28 colours and its own woodgrain hoop — quick to finish and perfect for autumn.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 28 colours, a needle, a woodgrain round embroidery hoop (17 cm), a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. The hoop doubles as a ready-made frame.

Start with the red caps and white spots, then the stems, and finish with the moss and leaves using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 11×13 cm (4.3×5.1 in). A charming woodland hoop art piece ready to hang and a sweet gift.
