Stitch Poinsettia, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a glowing lantern sits among red poinsettias, a white Christmas rose and pine sprigs, with a red cardinal perched beside it, all on frosty light blue Aida. The clear round hoop is included, ready to hang.
A little stitcher's folklore: a lantern in the window at Christmas was an old sign of welcome for any traveller, and a cardinal at the door meant a loved one was near.
Why this kit: a festive, easy design with 32 colours on pretty light blue fabric — and the hoop is included.
Kit includes: 16-count light blue Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 32 colours, a needle, a clear round embroidery hoop (20.5 cm), a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. The hoop doubles as a ready-made frame.
Start with the lantern and its glow, then the red poinsettias and cardinal, and finish with the pine sprigs using the partially coloured chart.
Finished size: 16×17 cm (6.3×6.7 in). A festive hoop art piece to hang every Christmas and a lovely gift.
