Stitch The Sly Fox, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a russet fox in soft watercolour tones gazes sideways among sprays of pink blossom and berries, with delicate splashes fading into white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: in folklore the fox is the cleverest creature in the wood — and spotting one in blossom time was said to bring quick wit and good luck.

Why this kit: an elegant wildlife portrait with 42 colours — lovely for fox lovers and nature-themed rooms.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 42 colours, 2 needles, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions (a QR code inside also gives you a digital PDF of the pattern). A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the fox's eye and nose, then the russet and white fur, and finish with the pink blossom and splashes using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 30×22 cm (11.8×8.7 in). An elegant wildlife picture for the living room and a lovely gift.
