Aurora Landscapes Cross Stitch Bookmark Kit Set of 6 by Wizardi F07AM12-2-SQ022

Stitch aurora landscapes bookmarks, a cross stitch bookmark kit set of 6 by Wizardi: six vivid panels of swirling aurora ribbons in teal, blue and magenta twisting above dark mountain silhouettes, mirror-still lakes and pine forests.

A little stitcher's folklore: legend says seeing the aurora on a winter night brings a year of good fortune.

Why this kit: if you want dramatic colour, these saturated skies are the boldest bookmarks in the range.

In the box: six bookmark panels pre-printed on 14 count Aida, cotton embroidery floss in every colour, a pattern chart, 6 needles, a needle threader, a small pair of scissors and self-adhesive felt to back the finished bookmarks. Not included: a hoop, which is optional for such a narrow piece.

How to stitch: thread a needle with two strands of floss and work the full cross stitches over the printed colours, checking the chart as you go; the print shows you where every stitch belongs, so there is no counting from the edge. When a bookmark is finished, trim it and press the felt backing on to cover the back and keep it neat inside a book.

A quick, relaxing project for beginners and experienced stitchers alike, and a thoughtful gift for book lovers, book club friends and teachers; stitch the six bookmarks to keep or give away one by one.
