Stitch The Perfect Couple, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a dark bay horse and a white horse with a crown of pale flowers woven into its mane stand head to head in a tender embrace, in soft browns, creams and whites. Based on artwork by Elena Samarskaya.

A little stitcher's folklore: horse lovers say two horses that stand head to head are sharing secrets, and a pair of horses in a picture brings harmony to a marriage.

Why this kit: a romantic, elegant horse portrait that makes a beautiful wedding or anniversary gift for anyone who loves horses.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 51 colours, 2 needles, a needle threader, a black-and-white symbol chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the horses' eyes and faces, then the flowing manes and flower crown, and finish with the soft background using the symbol chart.

Finished size: 45×32 cm (17.7×12.6 in). A romantic horse portrait to frame and a heartfelt gift for a couple.
