Stitch Wild Life Of Predator, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a majestic tiger with piercing blue eyes stares out from a lush frame of magenta, pink and coral peonies and roses, with watercolour drips of paint running below. Based on artwork by Momart.

A little stitcher's folklore: in Asian folklore the tiger is the king of beasts and guardian of the home, and a tiger picture by the door was said to keep evil spirits away.

Why this kit: a bold, dramatic wildlife portrait with 65 colours — a real showpiece for experienced stitchers.

Kit includes: 16-count antique white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 65 colours, 2 needles, a needle threader, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the tiger's eyes and nose, then the stripes and whiskers, and finish with the flowers and paint drips using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 48×32 cm (18.9×12.6 in). A striking wildlife picture for the living room or study and a bold gift.
