Stitch The Dalmatian on Lake Como, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a spotted Dalmatian in a red collar sits proudly in a vintage wooden boat, gazing out over the shimmering lake with misty mountains and an Italian villa behind.

A little stitcher's folklore: Italians say the lake shows its prettiest face to those who travel it slowly — and this Dalmatian clearly agrees.

Why this kit: a stylish, travel-inspired dog portrait with 57 colours — a lovely piece for dog lovers who dream of Italy.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 57 colours, 2 needles, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the Dalmatian's face and spots, then the red collar and boat, and finish with the lake and mountains using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 29×29 cm (11.4×11.4 in). A stylish picture for the living room and a great gift for dog lovers and travellers.
