Stitch Guests of Spring, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a pair of elegant white storks with black-tipped wings and red beaks stand close among lush pink peonies and blossom branches, in a tall, graceful format.

A little stitcher's folklore: in Europe storks are the heralds of spring, and a pair nesting on your roof was said to bring the household luck, health and new life.

Why this kit: a graceful, romantic design with 60 colours on antique white Aida — a lovely wedding or anniversary gift.

Kit includes: 16-count antique white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 60 colours, 2 needles, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the storks' heads and beaks, then the white feathers and black wings, and finish with the peonies and blossom using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 22×37 cm (8.7×14.6 in). A graceful picture for a hallway or bedroom and a meaningful wedding gift.
