Stitch Butterflies Magic, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a young woman with flowing chestnut hair gazes out from a cloud of orange, yellow and blue butterflies and autumn flowers, painted in rich, vivid colours.

A little stitcher's folklore: butterflies were once believed to carry wishes to the heavens, so a butterfly landing in your hair meant a wish would soon come true.

Why this kit: a vibrant, eye-catching portrait with 58 colours, on Aida with a printed grid that makes counting easier.

Kit includes: 16-count Zweigart Aida with a printed counting grid (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 58 colours, 2 needles, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the face and eyes, then the butterflies around it, and finish with the hair and flowers using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 29×40 cm (11.4×15.7 in). A striking, colourful portrait for the living room and a memorable gift.
