Stitch Tiger of the Jungle, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a tiger with piercing blue-green eyes peers out through dense jungle leaves in deep teal, emerald and jade, its orange and black stripes glowing against the shadows.

A little stitcher's folklore: in Asian folklore the tiger guards the home against evil, and its stare was said to keep bad luck from crossing the threshold.

Why this kit: a bold, dramatic wildlife portrait with 46 colours, on Aida with a printed grid that makes counting easier.

Kit includes: 16-count Zweigart Aida with a printed counting grid (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 46 colours, 2 needles, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the tiger's eyes and nose, then the stripes and whiskers, and finish with the jungle leaves using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 27×27 cm (10.6×10.6 in). A striking wildlife picture for the study or living room and a bold gift.
