Stitch New York, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S Gold Collection — a wide Manhattan avenue in spring, lined with pink blossom trees, brownstones and skyscrapers, with yellow taxis, strolling people and pigeons in the soft morning light. Based on artwork by Richard Macneil.

A little stitcher's folklore: New Yorkers say that when the blossom comes out along the avenues, even the busiest city stops for a moment to look up.

Why this kit: a large, detailed panorama on fine 18-count Aida with 60 colours — an ambitious showpiece for experienced stitchers.

Kit includes: 18-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 60 colours, 2 needles, a needle threader, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Work one chart page at a time, starting with the yellow taxis and figures, then the blossom trees, and finally the buildings and sky.

Finished size: 66×31 cm (26×12.2 in). A stunning city panorama for the living room and a special gift for New York lovers.
