Stitch Summer Perfume, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a cliffside meadow of orange, red, white and pink wildflowers tumbles down towards a sparkling blue sea, with rocky coves and white clouds above.

A little stitcher's folklore: sailors said the scent of wildflowers on the sea breeze was the first sign of home after a long voyage.

Why this kit: a fresh, sunny coastal landscape with 59 colours, on Aida with a printed grid that makes counting easier.

Kit includes: 16-count Zweigart Aida with a printed counting grid (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 59 colours, 2 needles, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions (a QR code inside also gives you a digital PDF of the pattern). A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the brightest flowers, then the meadow and cliffs, and finish with the sea and sky using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 27×38 cm (10.6×15 in). A sunny seaside picture for the living room and a lovely gift.
