Stitch Sea View, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a watering can full of blue hydrangeas stands on a windowsill beside old books, seashells and a starfish, with an open window looking out to waves, sand dunes and a sailing boat on the horizon.

A little stitcher's folklore: sailors' wives kept blue hydrangeas in the window, it's said, so their loved ones could find their way home.

Why this kit: a fresh, coastal still life with 56 colours — perfect for beach houses and anyone who loves the sea.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 56 colours, 2 needles, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions (a QR code inside also gives you a digital PDF of the pattern). A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the blue hydrangeas, then the watering can, books and shells, and finish with the window and sea view using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 29×31 cm (11.4×12.2 in). A fresh coastal picture for the bathroom or hallway and a lovely gift.
