Stitch Warm Hug, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S Gold Collection — a gentle grey donkey in a red halter leans over a snowy fence to meet a little ginger kitten, with red holly berries and falling snow around them.

A little stitcher's folklore: the donkey carried Mary to Bethlehem, so a donkey at Christmas is said to bring peace and kindness to the home.

Why this kit: a heart-warming winter friendship scene from the Gold Collection with 57 colours — lovely for Christmas and all winter long.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 57 colours, 2 needles, a needle threader, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Work one chart page at a time, starting with the donkey's face and the kitten, then the fence and berries, and finally the snowy background.

Finished size: 29×40 cm (11.4×15.7 in). A heart-warming winter picture and a lovely Christmas gift for animal lovers.
