Stitch Varenna, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — colourful terracotta and ochre houses with a lakeside café line the shore of a turquoise lake, with little boats moored below a bell tower and blue mountains beyond.

A little stitcher's folklore: the old fishermen of Lake Como said the lake keeps a wish for everyone who sees its waters for the first time.

Why this kit: a sunny Italian lakeside scene with 56 colours at an intermediate level, on Aida with a printed grid.

Kit includes: 16-count Zweigart Aida with a printed counting grid (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 56 colours, 2 needles, a needle threader, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the houses and café, then the boats and bell tower, and finish with the lake, mountains and sky using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 50×29 cm (19.7×11.4 in). A sunny Italian picture for the living room and a lovely gift for travellers.

The packaging was perfect and protected the kit, so nothing was hurt. The color-enhanced chart and instructions are concise and easy-to-follow. The floss is separated and labeled. The kit matches the description, and it is definitely worth the price. Thanks for the quick delivery.
