Stitch Passion in Flight, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — a young woman with long, wind-swept dark hair turns her face aside as a swirl of orange and golden butterflies rises around her.

A little stitcher's folklore: butterflies were believed to carry wishes to the heavens — a cloud of them around you meant change and new beginnings.

Why this kit: a dreamy, artistic portrait with 52 colours, on Aida with a printed grid that makes counting easier.

Kit includes: 16-count Zweigart Aida with a printed counting grid (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 52 colours, 2 needles, a needle threader, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the face, then the flowing hair, and finish with the butterflies and background using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 29×40 cm (11.4×15.7 in). An artistic statement piece for the bedroom or hallway and a lovely gift for a daughter or friend.
