Stitch Nosy Neighbours, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S Gold Collection — a family of deer, rabbits and a squirrel gather in the snow to peer through a glowing cottage window at a twinkling Christmas tree, while a red cardinal perches on the sill.

A little stitcher's folklore: it's said that on Christmas Eve the forest animals come to the windows to see the lights, and a home they visit will be blessed all winter.

Why this kit: an enchanting winter scene from the Gold Collection after artwork by Richard Macneil, with 65 colours on Aida with a printed grid.

Kit includes: 16-count Zweigart Aida with a printed counting grid (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 65 colours, 2 needles, a needle threader, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Work one chart page at a time, starting with the lit window and tree, then the deer and little animals, and finally the snowy woodland.

Finished size: 44.5×32 cm (17.5×12.6 in). A magical Christmas picture to hang every December and a lovely festive gift for nature lovers.
