Stitch Tropical Summer, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — turquoise waves roll onto a golden beach where two sea turtles make their way to the water, framed by bright hibiscus flowers, palms and a glowing sunset sky.

A little stitcher's folklore: island legend says turtles return to the beach where they were born, bringing long life to all who see them.

Why this kit: a vibrant beach scene after artwork by Richard Macneil, with 55 colours on Aida with a printed grid.

Kit includes: 16-count Zweigart Aida with a printed counting grid (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 55 colours, 2 needles, a needle threader, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the turtles and hibiscus, then the waves and sand, and finish with the palms and sunset using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 43×29 cm (16.9×11.4 in). A sunny holiday picture for the living room and a lovely gift for beach lovers.
