Stitch Harmony Between Us, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S — two iridescent blue peacocks face each other on a rock, their long jewelled tails cascading over masses of pink peonies and roses.

A little stitcher's folklore: in the East a pair of peacocks is a symbol of love, beauty and a harmonious marriage.

Why this kit: a vivid, romantic design with 53 colours at an intermediate level.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 53 colours, 2 needles, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the peacocks' heads and necks, then the tail feathers, and finish with the peonies and background using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 25×35 cm (9.8×13.8 in). A striking picture for the bedroom and a lovely wedding or anniversary gift.
