Stitch Giraffe Cuddle, a counted cross stitch kit by Luca-S Gold Collection — a mother giraffe lowers her head to nuzzle her calf against a blazing golden African sunset over the water.

A little stitcher's folklore: in African lore a mother giraffe's gentle nuzzle was said to give her calf the courage to stand tall.

Why this kit: a tender, glowing wildlife portrait from the Gold Collection with 63 colours — a rewarding project for experienced stitchers.

Kit includes: 16-count Zweigart Aida with a printed counting grid (100% cotton), Luca-S 100% cotton threads in 63 colours, 2 needles, a partially coloured chart with coloured backstitch and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the giraffes' eyes and faces, then the patterned coats, and finish with the sunset sky and water using the partially coloured chart.

Finished size: 35×29 cm (13.8×11.4 in). A tender picture for a nursery or living room and a lovely gift for a new mother.
