Stitch On the Streets of Paris, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a quiet Montmartre street in soft grey tones, with lamp posts, tall houses and the white dome of Sacré-Cœur above, brightened by a single red scooter. Worked in 12 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: lovers in Montmartre used to say that a wish made on the steps of Sacré-Cœur always finds its way back to you. Stitchers say this little scooter is off to make one.

Why this kit: if you love Paris and elegant grey-toned art, this small kit is quick and stylish, with a pop of red. A lovely gift for travellers, and a pair with RTO's Moulin Rouge street.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 12 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the red scooter, then the darkest greys of the lamp posts and windows. Finish with the pale houses, the dome and the sky.

Finished size: 14.5×15 cm (5.71×5.91 in). A stylish Paris picture to frame and a lovely gift for travellers.
