Stitch With the Flavour of Salt, Wind and Sun, a small counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a white-sailed boat glides across deep blue water past a stone lighthouse, beneath a huge orange moon rising in a purple evening sky. Worked in 25 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: sailors said a full orange moon over the lighthouse meant a safe voyage and a calm night at sea. Stitchers say this boat will be home by morning.

Why this kit: if you love the sea and bold colour, this small nautical scene is quick, striking and satisfying. A lovely gift for sailors and seaside homes.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 25 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the orange moon and white sail, then the lighthouse. Finish with the purple sky and the blue water.

Finished size: 9.5×14 cm (3.74×5.51 in). A bold little seascape to frame and a lovely gift for sailors.
