Stitch Sun in the Clouds, a small counted cross stitch kit by RTO — golden sunset clouds glow over dark blue water, with wild grasses shining gold and blue in the foreground. Worked in 24 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: a golden glow behind the clouds at sunset was said to mean tomorrow would bring good news. Stitchers say this sky is full of it.

Why this kit: if you love bold colour and quick projects, this small sunset scene is striking and relaxing to stitch. A lovely gift, and part of RTO's sunset mini series.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 24 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the golden and blue grasses, then the dark water. Finish with the glowing golden clouds.

Finished size: 9×13 cm (3.54×5.12 in). A glowing little sunset picture to frame and a quick handmade gift.
