Stitch Sunset Silhouettes, a small counted cross stitch kit by RTO — little birds perch on weathered fence posts, silhouetted against a blazing orange sun and a golden sky. Worked in 18 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: birds gathering on a fence at sunset were said to be sharing the day's news before bed. Stitchers say they always have good things to report.

Why this kit: if you love simple, graphic designs and warm colour, this small sunset is quick and relaxing to stitch. A lovely gift for bird lovers, and part of RTO's sunset mini series.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 18 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the white sun and orange sky, blending from light to dark. Finish with the dark fence posts and bird silhouettes.

Finished size: 9.5×14 cm (3.74×5.51 in). A glowing little sunset picture to frame and a quick handmade gift.
