Stitch Silence in the Library, a small counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a black cat curls over an open book with printed pages, gazing up with a golden eye as if you've disturbed its reading. Worked in 14 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: a cat sleeping on your book was said to mean the story would bring you luck. Stitchers say this one has chosen a very good story.

Why this kit: if you love cats and books, this library cat is quick, witty and full of character. A perfect gift for book lovers and cat owners.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 14 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the golden eye, then the black fur. Finish with the book pages and their printed lines.

Finished size: 8.5×13.5 cm (3.35×5.31 in). A witty little picture to frame and a perfect gift for book lovers.

Item arrived in perfect condition with all components. This looks exactly like what happens when I attempt to read and my black cat insists that I shouldn't. I can't wait to stitch this and get it framed!
