Stitch Revelation of Colour, a small counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a painterly blue horse with golden and orange highlights stands against a rich background of purple and green brushstrokes. Worked in 23 colours of DMC stranded cotton on blue Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: a blue horse was said to be a symbol of freedom and dreams in many old stories. Stitchers say this one gallops through them all.

Why this kit: if you love expressive, colourful art, this blue horse is quick and striking to stitch. A lovely gift for horse lovers, and part of RTO's Revelation of Colour series.

Kit includes: 14-count blue Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 23 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the horse's head and golden highlights, then the blue body. Finish with the purple and green brushstroke background.

Finished size: 9×13.5 cm (3.54×5.31 in). A vivid little picture to frame and a lovely gift for horse lovers.
