Starry Sun and Moon Cross Stitch Bookmark Kit Set of 6 by Wizardi F07AM12-1-SQ002

Stitch starry sun and moon bookmarks, a cross stitch bookmark kit set of 6 by Wizardi: six tall panels of swirling night and sunset skies, with glowing suns, pale crescent moons and comet trails above silhouetted trees, rooftops and mountains, in midnight blue, gold and sunset orange.

A little stitcher's folklore: stitchers say a bookmark made by hand keeps your place and your luck, so you never lose either between chapters.

Why this kit: if you love painterly skies, these brushwork-style designs look like tiny paintings tucked into your books.

In the box: six bookmark panels pre-printed on 14 count Aida, cotton embroidery floss in every colour, a pattern chart, 6 needles, a needle threader, a small pair of scissors and self-adhesive felt to back the finished bookmarks. Not included: a hoop, which is optional for such a narrow piece.

How to stitch: thread a needle with two strands of floss and work the full cross stitches over the printed colours, checking the chart as you go; the print shows you where every stitch belongs, so there is no counting from the edge. When a bookmark is finished, trim it and press the felt backing on to cover the back and keep it neat inside a book.

A quick, relaxing project for beginners and experienced stitchers alike, and a thoughtful gift for book lovers, book club friends and teachers; stitch the six bookmarks to keep or give away one by one.
