Stitch Good Winter Story, a counted cross stitch cushion kit by RTO — a jolly Santa Claus with a big sack of presents climbs onto a snowy red-brick chimney, surrounded by frosty blue and white swirls like ice on a window. Worked in 29 colours of DMC stranded cotton on white Aida, ready to make into a 40×40 cm cushion front.

A little stitcher's folklore: hanging a stocking by the chimney was said to guide Santa to the right house on Christmas Eve. Stitchers say this cushion makes sure he never misses yours.

Why this kit: if you love Christmas decorating, this festive cushion front will brighten a sofa or armchair every December. A wonderful Christmas gift and a future family heirloom.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 29 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A cushion insert and backing fabric are not included.

Start with Santa's face, red suit and sack, then the brick chimney. Finish with the frosty blue swirls, then sew it onto a cushion backing with an insert of your choice.

Finished size: 40×40 cm (15.75×15.75 in). A festive Christmas cushion front and a treasured handmade gift.
