Stitch Dandy Day, a counted cross stitch kit by Bothy Threads — a fluffy guinea pig sits among bright yellow dandelions.

A little stitcher's folklore: children used to tell the time by blowing on a dandelion clock; the number of puffs was the hour.

Why this kit: Hannah Dale's loose, watercolour-style animals translate beautifully into stitch, and the printed speckle on the Aida gives the finished piece its signature Wrendale feel.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida printed with Bothy Threads' exclusive Wrendale Designs speckle, pre-sorted stranded cottons, a needle and a clear stitch diagram and instructions. Stitches used: cross stitch and back stitch. A frame is not included.

Stitch the guinea pig and flowers in cross stitch from the centre, then add the whiskers and outlines in back stitch.

Finished size: 26×26 cm (10.2×10.2 in). A sunny piece from the Summer 2026 Collection.
