Stitch Lighthouse, a mini counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a tall white lighthouse stands on dark rocks with white sails passing below, under a moody purple night sky with a glowing moon. Worked in 22 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 14-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: sailors said a lighthouse beam shining through the night meant someone was keeping watch for them. Stitchers say this one never goes out.

Why this kit: if you love the sea and quick projects, this narrow little lighthouse is a perfect beginner kit or bookmark-sized picture. A lovely gift, and a set with RTO's other lighthouse minis.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 22 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the white lighthouse and sails, then the dark rocks. Finish with the purple sky and the moon.

Finished size: 5.5×10.5 cm (2.17×4.13 in). A moody little seaside picture to frame and a quick handmade gift.
