Stitch Lighthouse, a mini counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a red and white striped lighthouse stands behind tall dune grasses, with a sandy path winding toward it under a violet evening sky and soft white clouds. Worked in 19 colours of DMC stranded cotton.

A little stitcher's folklore: a lighthouse has always meant safe passage home, and sailors said a lighthouse kept in the house would guide loved ones back to it. Stitchers say this one keeps the light on for you.

Why this kit: if you love the coast but want a small, quick project, this mini lighthouse can be finished in a few evenings. A sweet gift for seaside lovers — and it looks great as a set with the other RTO lighthouses.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 19 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the red and white stripes of the lighthouse, then add the dune grasses in long lines. Finish with the path and the violet sky around it.

Finished size: 5.5×10.5 cm (2.17×4.13 in). A small coastal picture for a shelf or a little frame, and a sweet handmade gift.
