Stitch Bedtime Story, a mini counted cross stitch kit by RTO — the silhouette of a squirrel is filled with a deep blue starry night, a glowing moon in its tail, and tiny houses, holly leaves and red berries tucked inside. Worked in 8 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 14-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: squirrels were said to hide a little of their winter store as a gift for anyone who needed it. Stitchers say this one has hidden a whole night of sweet dreams.

Why this kit: if you love magical, cosy designs, this little starry squirrel is quick and simple — perfect for beginners. A sweet nursery or Christmas gift, and a pair with RTO's Bedtime Story hare.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 8 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Stitch the deep blue night first, leaving the moon and stars. Finish with the little houses, holly leaves and red berries.

Finished size: 8.5×9 cm (3.35×3.54 in). A magical little picture to frame and a quick handmade gift.
