Stitch Cock, a tiny cross stitch kit by RTO — a proud country rooster in orange, red and green feathers holds a little red flower in its beak, finished in an ornate white mini frame that's included in the kit. Worked in 9 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 18-count ecru Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: a rooster in the kitchen was said to chase away bad luck and wake the house to a good day. Stitchers say this one brings flowers too.

Kit includes: 18-count ecru Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 9 colours, an ornate white mini frame, a needle, a chart and instructions.

Stitch the rooster's red comb and body, then the green tail and the flower. Pop the finished piece into the white frame.

Finished size: 3×5 cm (1.18×1.97 in). A tiny framed kitchen keepsake and a charming handmade gift.
