Stitch Hen with Flower, a tiny cross stitch kit by RTO — a pretty pink and orange hen with a purple flower tucked on her red comb, finished in an ornate white mini frame that's included in the kit. Worked in 10 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 18-count ecru Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: a hen wearing a flower was said to lay the luckiest eggs in the yard. Stitchers say this one is dressed for spring.

Why this kit: if you love sweet farmhouse decor, this tiny framed hen is a quick, complete project. A lovely Easter gift and a set with RTO's other framed hens and roosters.

Kit includes: 18-count ecru Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 10 colours, an ornate white mini frame, a needle, a chart and instructions.

Stitch the hen's pink and orange body, then the red comb and purple flower. Pop the finished piece into the white frame.

Finished size: 3×5 cm (1.18×1.97 in). A tiny framed kitchen keepsake and a sweet handmade gift.
