Gingerbread Baker Christmas Wooden Nutcracker 15 in by Wizardi F07AM9-11-N01270A

Serve up a festive treat with the Gingerbread Baker, a wooden Christmas nutcracker by Wizardi — a baker in a tall white chef's hat with a red-and-white gingham band, a natural wood face with a curled black moustache, white faux-fur hair, and a red and white striped jacket. He carries a candy-striped tray holding a gingerbread man and a little gingerbread house, with green trousers, white fur cuffs and black boots on a round green base.

A little collector's folklore: gingerbread houses became a Christmas tradition in the 1800s after the fairy tale of Hansel and Gretel, and collectors say this baker builds a new one every December.

Why this nutcracker: if you love gingerbread or a classic red and green kitchen, he is a warm, cheerful baker. At 15 inches he makes a lovely centrepiece for a dessert table, kitchen shelf or bakery display.

In the box: one Gingerbread Baker nutcracker in painted wood with white faux-fur hair and a gingerbread tray, packed in a red gift box with a window. A decorative nutcracker, not intended for cracking nuts. Ready to display, no assembly needed.

Collect the whole bakery in the series — the cookie, mixing bowl and cupcake bakers (F07AM9-11-N01270B, C and D). Dust with a soft, dry brush and keep away from moisture and heat. A decoration, not a toy.

Size: 38 cm tall (15 in). Gingerbread Christmas kitchen decor, and a sweet gift for bakers.
