Stitch Curious Lucy, a mini counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a slender calico kitten with big pointed ears and blue eyes walks along with its tail in the air, a tiny blue butterfly perched on the tip. Worked in 8 colours of DMC stranded cotton on white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: a calico cat is one of the luckiest cats of all, and a butterfly landing on a cat was said to bring a happy surprise. Stitchers say Lucy is carrying one.

Why this kit: if you love cats, this curious calico is quick and easy to stitch. A sweet gift for cat owners and kids, and part of RTO's mini kitten series.

Kit includes: 14-count white Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 8 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the eyes and the patches of colour, then the white fur. Finish with the outline and the little butterfly.

Finished size: 8×8 cm (3.15×3.15 in). A small kitten picture for a mini frame, and a lucky handmade gift.
