Stitch Wild Strawberries, a mini counted cross stitch kit by RTO — three ripe red strawberries hang beneath a cluster of deep green leaves and little blue flowers. Worked in 14 colours of DMC stranded cotton on white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: strawberries were a symbol of love and sweetness, and sharing a double strawberry was said to make two people fall in love. Stitchers say these are the sweetest of the summer.

Why this kit: if you love kitchen and garden designs, these wild strawberries are quick, bright and easy to stitch. A lovely first kit and a sweet gift for gardeners.

Kit includes: 14-count white Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 14 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the red berries and their seeds, then the green leaves. Finish with the little blue flowers.

Finished size: 10×10 cm (3.94×3.94 in). A small, sweet picture for a mini frame or kitchen, and a charming handmade gift.
