Hexi Residence DIY Miniature House Kit 13 in by Wizardi F07M51-76-P015-A

A grand Japanese courtyard residence under dark tiled roofs: a two-storey timber and plaster house glows with lantern light, a red sun banner hangs above the veranda, blazing red maple trees and a pine frame a still pond crossed by stepping stones, a tea pavilion with a low table sits on the water's edge, and a kimono-clad figure with a paper umbrella stands by the garden gate and stone lanterns.

A little crafter's folklore: in Japanese gardens, a maple turning red is a reminder to slow down and look, and miniaturists like to set the umbrella figure where she can see it.

Why this kit: if you love Japanese architecture, this large residence is a showpiece, with a whole garden, pond and pavilion around the lit house.

In the box: pre-cut wooden pieces, wallpaper and fabric pieces, miniature furniture and finely detailed accessories, built-in LED lights, and illustrated step-by-step instructions. Not included: batteries, glue and scissors.

Pair it with the Red Maple Japanese Manor or Japanese Courtyard Home. Build tip: fit and glue the wall panels into the shell first, add wallpaper and fabric before the furniture, place the smallest accessories with tweezers, and wire in the lights last.

Size: 34 x 26 x 25 cm (13.4 x 10.2 x 9.8 in). A serene statement display and a gift for lovers of Japanese culture. Recommended for ages 14 and up.
