I bought this because I usually paint landscapes and had several eye surgeries preventing me from doing my usual paintings. I thought with paint by number I could focus on an area under a magnifier and still paint. I thought this owl looked less detailed but wow I was wrong I am using tiny acrylic nail brushes and still have trouble keeping in the little shapes. I figure once I get my sight back to normal I can go over this and make it look more realistic. I already added some snow to outline areas where there was color blobs and no blending. So at least this kept me painting. Nice canvas and frame. I have some concerns I will run out of paint, the paint is thick so if you add a couple drops of water it is easier to paint with and it goes further. I have areas where some of the canvas shows thru but I don’t want to use up paint yet. I can always add snow flakes or stars to fix that later if necessary. I have to take frequent breaks as even under a magnifier it strains my eyes., so I’m not sure how long this will take me to complete it. But I am enjoying the process. I would recommend just be aware it can test your patience!
