Our Jacob Sheep kit is a fun, easy beginner project that makes one sheep entirely from Jacob Sheep Wool from Devon, UK. It is one of our first in British Sheep Collection supporting British Farmers and allows us to help smallholdings whilst we know exactly where the wool has come from (here: Cuckoo Farm in Devon)and how the sheep are kept. The wool is processed in a small Cornish wool mill and is turned into slivers (looks like a top and felts like a batt).

Skill level: Easy Beginner

Size: Approx. 12cm tall

Techniques used: Sculpting with wool, attaching shapes and features.

This small kit contains:
Full colour, step-by-step instructions
3 different types of wool
Felting needles (#36 coarse, #38 medium)
Eco Wool Felting Mat (made from recycled wool and 100% compostable)
You will also need: Clear-drying PVA Glue (optional), scissors

What a beautiful creature!\nThe materials are packed beautifully in the box and the instructions are straightforward with pictures. I ran out of the dark brown wool before completion so the poor animal may not have spots.\nI made the four legs according to instructions but they could not hold it up and kept falling forward on his nose area. So I took them off and made shorter thicker ones. The fatter ones I made were a little harder to attach bc there wasn't much room on the underbelly.\nAll in all, though, the quality of the wool was beautiful and I would recommend you!\nThank you for great instructions and the pictures-they saved me. So I am waiting to finish this another time when I have brown wool from another project!
