Lady with a Fan after Klimt Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle by Wizardi F07N9-10

Piece together Lady with a Fan after Klimt, a wooden jigsaw puzzle by Wizardi: a dark-haired woman turns her bare shoulder towards you, holding an ornate red and blue fan, set against a rich golden background full of flowers and a swirling bird.

A little puzzler's folklore: this was one of the last paintings Klimt worked on, and it was found on his easel after he died.

Why this puzzle: if you love Art Nouveau colour, the gold, red and blue pattern gives you plenty of detail to sort.

In the box: laser-cut wooden pieces printed with the picture, a mix of classic interlocking pieces and whimsy pieces cut as little animals and figures such as giraffes, butterflies and dragonflies, packed in a gift box with the full picture on the front for reference. The box rates it 5A Challenger. Not included: a puzzle board or frame.

How to build it: turn every piece picture-side up, pick out the straight edges and the whimsy figures first, then sort the rest by colour and build inwards, using the box picture as your guide; the wood pieces lock firmly, so a finished section can be moved without falling apart.

Finished size 28.4 x 39.2 cm (11.2 x 15.4 in), a tall rectangular A3 picture, so it fits a coffee table while you work and a frame afterwards; a lovely gift for puzzle fans, art lovers and anyone who wants a calm, screen-free evening, and it goes back in the box to build again.
