Stitch Lullaby, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — the sun sets over green rolling hills and a flowery meadow, with a little cottage in the valley and purple and golden clouds across the sky. Worked in 41 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: the golden hour before sunset was said to be when the land sings its lullaby, and anyone who listened would sleep soundly. Stitchers say this meadow is the most peaceful place to be.

Why this kit: if you love calm countryside scenes, this sunset meadow is soothing and rewarding to stitch. A lovely gift, and a set with RTO's other sunset kits.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 41 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the glowing sun and golden clouds, then the purple sky. Finish with the green hills, the cottage and the meadow flowers.

Finished size: 15.5×15.5 cm (6.1×6.1 in). A peaceful sunset picture to frame and a calming handmade gift.
