Stitch What Colour Is the Sun?, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — an old wooden rowing boat rests on a lake that shimmers blue and gold, beneath a glowing sunset and a shore of dark pines. Worked in 35 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: fishermen said a golden path on the water at sunset was the sun's way of inviting you out for one last row. Stitchers say this boat is ready to go.

Why this kit: if you love lakes and bold colour, this boat at sunset is vivid and relaxing to stitch. A lovely gift for fishermen and nature lovers, and part of RTO's Colour of the Sun series.

Kit includes: 16-count Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 35 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the wooden boat, then the golden and blue ripples. Finish with the pine shore and the glowing sky.

Finished size: 15.5×15.5 cm (6.1×6.1 in). A vivid lakeside picture to frame and a lovely handmade gift.
